Volunteers complete their henna course

We are pleased to announce that seven of our volunteers have completed their Henna Pattern Making course at the Sharrow Community Forum in Sheffield, the course was delivered by Asmaa Chaudhry.

The course has provided the volunteers with the opportunity to create stylish henna patterns on hands and different parts of the body.

In addition we also learnt the origins & history of henna along with understanding the health and safety considerations.

From initially learning how to old the henna cone and control the flow of henna.

By the third class we were creating henna crown designs.

Towards the end of the final session some volunteers were beginning to do freehand designs as you can see Steph created a fairy and unicorn!

Now that the course is complete we are all busy practicing and perfecting our techniques in preparation to commence offering this treatment to the children at Sheffield Children’s hospital oncology ward in the near future.
